Common questions

How much does Pawdex cost?

$1.99, once, on the App Store. No subscription, no account to create, no in-app purchases, no upsells begging at the table. You pay for the app the way you'd pay for a leash — it's yours.

Is there a pet sitting app without a subscription?

You found one. Most professional pet sitting software runs $25 or more per month; Pawdex is a single $1.99 purchase that covers pet cards, daily rounds, earnings and report cards. That's over $300 a year staying in your treat budget.

How is Pawdex different from Time To Pet or Precise Petcare?

Those are great platforms for pet sitting companies — staff scheduling, client portals, online booking — and they're priced like it, typically from $25/month. Pawdex is built for the solo sitter: your pets, your rounds, your earnings, on your own iPhone, for $1.99 once. No clients to onboard, nothing to administer. See the full software comparison.

Is Pawdex for pet sitters or pet owners?

For the sitter — the one holding the leash. Owners never need to install anything: after a visit you text them a report card with what got done, how their critter did, and a photo.

Does Pawdex work offline?

Yes. Cards, checklists and earnings live on your iPhone, so everything works in that basement-level apartment with one bar of signal. Changes sync to your private iCloud once you're back in the land of the connected.

Can Pawdex help with my pet sitting taxes?

Pawdex tracks what you charge per visit and totals the month for you. When tax season comes sniffing, export the whole year as a CSV for your accountant or your tax software.

Is Pawdex on Android?

Pawdex is an iPhone app, available on the iOS App Store. There's no Android version.

Where does my data live?

On your iPhone, and in your own private iCloud if you're signed in. Pawdex has no servers and no accounts — we can't see your data even if we wanted to. Details in the privacy policy.

I got a new iPhone. How do I get my cards back?

Sign in with the same Apple Account and install Pawdex. Your pet cards, visits and earnings sync down through iCloud; entry codes come along through iCloud Keychain.

How do I delete everything?

Delete the app, then remove Pawdex's iCloud data in Settings → [your name] → iCloud → Manage Account Storage. Deleting a pet, household or visit inside the app removes its records too, stored codes included. More detail in the privacy policy.
